GILGA SYRAH 2011

Gilga Syrah is a single vineyard Syrah crafted from southerly facing slopes in the beautiful Stellenbosch Kloof. The single south-facing vineyard from which this wine was crafted is a mere 2.5 hectares in size and benefit from the cooling sea breezes from False Bay. Gilga’s elevation, slope and soil composition, make it the ideal location for the production of Syrah.

The Gilga Syrah, was crafted utilizing minimalistic traditional wine-making techniques, including natural fermentation, manual pigeage and extended barrel maturation. The resultant wine is full bodied, with characteristic Syrah flavours of ripe black fruits, white pepper, leather and floral notes, with a lengthy finish and lithe tannins. Further careful maturation over the next decade will benefit this wine, but if the occasion arises this wine will not falter to impress.

AMURABI RED BLEND 2012

All grapes were hand picked and small batch fermented and basket pressed before being blended and matured in 30% new wood and the rest in 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. The vibrancy of Grenache is integral to balance the low acidity of Tempranillo and the Mouvedre adds further depth, structure and savoury qualities. It’s a hedonistic glimpse of Gilga’s Terrior

ZAGROS WHITE BLEND 2013

A very refreshing and easy drinking white made from Riesling, Semillon and Chardonnay grapes. This unusual blend gives a crisp wine with fresh citrus and tropical fruit notes supported by delicate vanilla from the barrel ferment
